How am I driving?

What part of No Parking don't these asshats get? The fire hydrant, red curb or maybe the sign? Doncha just love how they parked between the hydrant and the sign...setting out their traffic cones. Wouldn't want a fire engine to damage a cable van now would we? Jeebus.

This just pissed me off given the history of our area. I wasn't the only strolling resident muttering and glaring...I just happened to have my camera.

After the '91 firestorm (24 people were incinerated not two blocks from where the vans were parked because of steep, narrow, blocked streets) the city banned cul-d-sacs in the Oakland hills. Our HOA installed a removable post and chain to block thru traffic where a house would have been at the end of a cul-d-sac...allowing emergency access/egress. Parking was prohibited on both sides of the street..thus the "no parking at any time" signs that appear every 200 ft the entire length of our street.

The ComCast numbnuts couldn't figure out that the fire chain blocking the street was a "back door". Had they driven up the hill and around the bend they would have been able drive in and park in visitor parking off street right next to the pedestal they serviced.

The good news is that we have ghost free pictures again...it only took them 4 days to get their dumb asses out. It's good to have a monopoly.

Mebbe that answers your question?

I bought Tyco instead. I didn't
see the WSJ article today about
