Barking Mad

Tallest tower in the world planned for the Outback

So this is the earth friendly alternate energy source we hear so much about from the likes of Viggo Mortensen. This has to be a hoax. A structure almost 4000 ft tall, 300 ft wide, with a dish 4 miles in diameter to produce a paltry 200 MW?

California ISO sez that we used 29,088 MW today. You do the math.

What are the stats on "leakage"?

I heard that if we unplugged most of

the appliances we always have on

standby (I bet I have 30 tiny clocks

in my house, from the microwaves

[yeah, we have 2 of those] to

laptops), we'd save some major power.

Home conservation is a canard the Pols use

to pit us against each other for resources and gin up

the voter base.

It the industrial users that peg the MegaWatt meter

and why solar or wind as we currently know them will

not suffice to power a modern economy.

BTW- I will fix this fooking comment layout before

the weekend is out...it is making me crazy.
