Anticipation & Arrival

The emotional heart is amazingly resilient. Just a few days ago our house was plunged into deep despair. Today an undercurrent of joy and excitement surges as the Spousal Unit motors down the Interstate to meet a breeder. A careful inspection will be made, potential assessed, love meter red-lined, cash exchanged and maybe we will be in the house breaking bidness by nightfall.

A bargain was struck and a pup fetched. Meet Harley, as in Earl, not Davidson. His first photo and bath in the kitchen sink.

Puppy pee ain't the same as

grownup dog pee. It's odorless,

colorless, and never stains

the carpets. This wonderful

suspension of the usual laws

of nature is God's way of making

sure all puppies find a home.

I wouldn't lie to you.

Change is good.

Even with me the Joint has been in constant evolution. :-)

I look forward to your shift in emphasis, if only because it is lonely here on Goose Creek feeling I am the only pundit-free zone in the blogosphere. I agree with moderation in both content and tone, and think you will find good coming from your new center, both for yourself and your readers. Perhaps I've missed what breed of pup you are getting...another spaniel? Happy for you, Feste.
