Click THIS, asscake.

Arrgh! Blogs that use sticky code so you can't click off their site are really, really annoying. So much so that I am no longer linking to those who insist trapping readers like hapless flies in a window.

You know who you are. I am sure you are quaking in your boots. Oooo! Oooo! Feste is delinking us!

The point is don't force bat shit code games on your readers...just let me read what you have to say and go on my way as I please. Some of us work with their edit mod as the desktop and build an active browser group as we weave our way through the Blogoverse...clicking back and forth to compare commentary....adding comments, updates and linking to our page. Forcing a blogger to close the browser to be rid of your page might be counterintuitive to encouraging a link or comment on other blogs.

Yeah, me too, I hate those

pages that trap you, or hijack

you. Then again, it might be fun

if I were stoned while I surfed.

I never have run into these amongst blogs. What ARE those folks thinking!

On the opposite end of the spectrum are sites that won't let you right-click. Sheesh. I surf by right-clicking and opening the link in a new window. That way I can return to the original without having to reload it. Some folks are at least do the target=blank thing. But you've got the worst of both worlds here. Every thime you post something I want to read, it sends me away.

What the hell is so valuable on this site that you don't want me to right-click? Afraid I'm going to save an image or something? I mean, if you had nude pictures of yourself or something, I wouldn't even be here in the first place. Or of you did, and I wanted them, bypassing the right-click thing is futile.

What the heck does it prevent me from doing other than surfing efficiently? There's a reason browsers and web sites work the way they do, there's absolutely no reason every Javascript monkey has to try and reinvent it.

Oh, nice site otherwise. I'll click on one of your useful links and go away now.

Surfer: All links in the blog body open in a new window. Nothing I "post" sends you anywhere except maybe into rapture or the loo to toss yer cookies.

You raise a valid consistancy of design point about the link list, I always figure when you hit the list you're gone. I will address it with a tweak.

I pay for some of the images or for archival access. You want 'em, you buy 'em.

My personal photos are just that...mine. Sure you can work around, but most readers won't.

thanks for the feedback.
