In today's climbdown, CBS says they report "without favoritsm".
Pardon us if we giggle.
LGF posts a photo that demonstrates that anti-GOP bias is so pervasive in the organization that CBS employees openly display anti-Bush signage on company news vans parked in front of the CBS building.
One suspects there will be more than a few pink slips in the next pay period's envelopes.
Pink slips at CBS? That would be nice to see but don't hold your breath. Besides, who are they going to fire? The entire organization? This is one of the largest Democratic Party contributors. It has had an incestuous relationship with the DNC going back 30 years. The whole place is infested with Liberal Democrats from top to bottom. If they fired anyone it could only be someone the brass didn't like - not someone who repeated the daily hate-Bush mantra.
There may be constraints on CBS that we don't know about. Lawyer-mandated constraints. They must be quaking right now over the prospect of an investigation because investigations of large corporations tend to uncover criminality. Firing someone, anyone, under those circumstances is not recommended because you don't want to create any more enemies than you already have.
In any responsible corporation, Rather and Mapes would be given their walking papers. But this is CBS we're talking about. Look for a few sacrificial lambs, if that.
