Carnival Of The Cats#2

Okay fine...it's the weekend and I'm sick of the Bush-Clarke media pukeathon...I'll pimp out the cats for a little Carnival of the Cats fun at Lair's. There's mighty cute Yourish kitties, the tale of Buttons and much more.

In honor of the occasion I downloaded a few cat pages from my family site. Here's a really smaltzy page 'o kitten pix ...and if that doesn't send the cat haters screaming into the night...then try this one....or perhaps Zozo's page will fill the bill.

Cats are gross. My allergies might have something to do with my opinion.

Question: Do cat owners just get used to that horrible smell? I think cat owners shoul dbe hyper sensitive to friends and family (hey mom and dad!)when it comes to theor cats. You know, vacuum all over before they have guests over, get one of those living air classic air purifiers, and take the lint brush to the furniture so the hair and dander doesn't get all over the clothes of folks who are allergic. Maybe you could come up with a list of responsibilities of cat owners toward non cat people. Mayeb I will. I'm the one with teh problem, right?

Still, the little ones are cute.

My home doesn't smell from the cat's litter box.

It's probably clay litter that is creating the odor problem...they add a strong masking perfume that smells worst than cat poop. Clay based litter and resulting dust is very toxic to your cats and people too.

There are several non-clay based, organic non-allegenic litters. I use one made from sterilized, cracked wheat that doesn't track and contains odors completely and is 100% biogradable. The most I ever smell is a slight yeast aroma like rising bread.

Tell your mom to get "S Wheat Scoop"...you can find it at Petco or any large pet store.

We comb/brush the dog and both cats daily...it's part of our pet play time...so shedding is pretty much a non-issue too.
