Kerry Falls Short

Interesting that the mainstream media didn't reveal the epithet Dem presidential candidate John Kerry used after his Secret Service agent inadvertently moved into his path during a ski mishap in Idaho, sending Kerry falling into the snow.

When asked a moment later about the incident by a reporter on the ski run, Kerry said sharply, "I don't fall down," the "son of a bitch knocked me over."

One expects a man who sees himself as President and leader of the free world to possess a stong ego, and to be edgy during a contentious campaign, however, Kerry turned what could have been a charming vignette of a populist candidate on holiday into a negative.

How better to handle the situation with a little self-deprecating humor, let the agent, who would take a bullet for Kerry without hesitation, off the hook. One can imagine the affable Bill Clinton laughing and lumbering to his feet, or George Bush slapping the agent on the back...posing for a photo op with cheesey grins.

John Kerry doesn't fall; he stumbles. A lot.
